Pitchers batting and Fielders pitching

 Back to main TSL Page

According to our league rule 6.1.2c,

(c)      If a pitcher expires and there is no other pitcher available to enter the game, and if this occurs in the tenth inning or later in the game in question, it is permissible for a position player to pitch.

 i)                          normal pitching resting rules apply.   Resting requirements as a pitcher do not affect appearance as a non-pitcher.

ii)                        The player may continue to pitch after using up available PA’s as a non-pitcher if applicable.  The player may continue to appear as a position player after using up available innings.

There is only one card that Strat uses for a position player coming in to pitch, and this is it. (The image is shown on the page, and if you click on the link, it will open a separate jpg version of the image.)

Alternately, it may occur that we choose to have a pitcher bat. Note that we as a league have chosen NOT to use Strat's "pitcher hitting" card sets, and thus we would use one of the eight standard pitcher-hitting cards. If you look at a pitcher's card, you'll see that it lists a number showing which pitcher-hitting card to use for that pitcher. Each card is shown below.
